I want to become something. Reader, writer, teacher, painter, parent, thinker, tinker, cook, candle maker, business owner.

I want to experience everything!

It doesn’t get really good until the end, but then it gets really good.

This is a photo of when my dad’s parents were married (1947). It’s probably one of my favorite photographs in the world. I didn’t get to spend enough time with either of them. Papa died several years ago when I was still young. Nana’s still living in Chicago, but I haven’t seen her since I was in 8th grade. I remember him being a lovely person, and he just looks full of life here. My dad added me to a “family” group on Facebook that has his relatives, and a cousin of his has been scanning old photos and putting them up. I’ll add several of them at another time. It’s been nice looking through them. Dad never had any photos around, and he never really talked about his family (as in, going back generations). It’s nice to finally get to see what I’ve missed out on.

Christmas Break

So finals are finally over. And I went out on a high note…he he. I raced through my last final and started Christmas break off right. Doing absolutely nothing.

My plans for the next few days are to do a major clean up. I’ve been pretty lazy and let things pile up here and there, and now I have a chance to put things away. And I get to clear out some storage tubs to put in the Christmas tree, which is always fun.

I’m looking forward to the break, but I’ve got 18 hrs a week to look forward to next semester. At least I get Friday off.

I’ve almost got all my Christmas Shopping done. Just four or five more things plus two for AJ. I’m glad I have money to buy pretty cool gifts this year. I didn’t think I was going to be able to do anything.

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to Christmas. I won’t get to decorate until finals are totally over. My last on is on Thursday, so I’ll get them up this weekend. I’ll post a picture with all the presents underneath. Last year I had to stuff empty gift bags and put them under the tree just so there was something there.

Christmas Shopping

I had a ton of fun Christmas shopping with April. And I must say, that my shopping has been going well. I feel like I’ve got a great list made out for everybody and I’m quickly working my way through it.

So I got my project done!

Started working before this morning and finished up around 7:30pm. So yeah.

I’ve just got to go get it copied now.

I still have 6 collages (2D Design) to do and a preliminary color model (Digital Design).

But those shouldn’t take too long and I’m just going to slap them together tomorrow when we get home. After indulging myself a bit.
